Senter for profesjonsforskning (SPS) har ledig en 3-årig åremålsstilling som postdoktor tilknyttet prosjektet Automating Technologies and the Future of Meaningful Work (AUTOMA), finansiert av Norges Forskningsråd (NFR). Prosjektet er et samarbeid mellom SPS og Institutt for ledelse og organisasjon ved Handelshøyskolen BI.
Automatiseringsteknologier og det meningsfulle arbeidets fremtidNår kunstig intelligens (KI) og beslektede teknologier endrer innholdet i folks arbeid, vil de miste forbindelsen til det som gjør arbeidet deres meningsfylt, eller vil det tvert imot frigjøre dem til å gjøre mer meningsfylt arbeid? Hovedmålet med AUTOMA-prosjektet er å utforske hvordan KI og beslektede teknologier påvirker arbeidsinnhold, samt hvilke muligheter og/eller utfordringer dette medfører for meningsfylt arbeid. Prosjektet tar sikte på å utvikle en dypere filosofisk forståelse av hvilke faktorer som gjør arbeid meningsfullt, men også samle nye empiriske data om hvordan opplevelsen av mening i arbeidet påvirkes når arbeidsoppgaver og ferdigheter som tidligere var forbeholdt mennesker i økende grad digitaliseres.
AUTOMA-prosjektet består av to arbeidspakker: en rettet mot filosofisk og normativ analyse av ‘meningsfylt arbeid’, og en rettet mot empirisk undersøkelse av meningsfylt arbeid på arbeidsplasser hvor KI og beslektede teknologier er tatt i bruk.
I den første arbeidspakken vil hovedfokus være analyse og evaluering av eksisterende filosofisk og annen teoretisk litteratur om meningsfylt arbeid, digitalisering og fremmedgjøring, med et mål om å utvikle nye teoretiske og begrepsmessige perspektiver. Deltakere i denne arbeidspakken er Edmund Henden (SPS) og Hannah Altehenger (Universität Konstanz).
I den andre arbeidspakken vil hovedfokus være å undersøke empirisk hvordan meningsopplevelsen i arbeid påvirkes når arbeidsoppgaver og ferdigheter digitaliseres, samt hvilke psykologiske og sosiologiske faktorer som har betydning for meningsskaping i denne typen omstendigheter. Her er målet å utvikle presise mål på digitalisering av arbeid og et multidimensjonalt mål på meningsfylt arbeid. Det vil også samles inn spørreskjema-data for å undersøke variasjon i opplevd meningsfullhet. Deltakere i denne arbeidspakken er Håvard Helland (SPS) og Christina G.L. Nerstad (BI).

ArbeidsstedI postdoktorstillingen vil du ha arbeidsplass ved Senter for Profesjonsforskning (SPS). SPS er et ledende forsknings- og forskerutdanningsmiljø i studiet av profesjoner, og er blant annet ansvarlig for et ph.d.-program i profesjonsstudier. Teoretisk og metodisk er senteret preget av mangfold. Den som blir ansatt vil arbeide i et tverrfaglig miljø der forskere og stipendiater har bakgrunn i sosiologi, pedagogikk, historie, filosofi, statsvitenskap, sosialantropologi, helsefag, økonomi og psykologi. Vi har også bygget opp flere kvantitative databaser, blant annet med registerdata fra SSB.
Vi oppfordrer også til utenlandsopphold i løpet av postdoktorperioden. Stillingen er finansiert av NFR, og med det følger mulighet til å søke om stipend for tre til tolv måneders forskningsopphold i utlandet, som kan gi forlengelse av postdoktorperioden tilsvarende utenlandsoppholdets lengde og inntil en samlet ansettelsesperiode på maksimalt fire år.
